Auriculas growing in the world’s most northerly botanic garden, Tromsø, Norway

Ylva has very kindly sent these pictures of auriculas growing in Tromsø Arctic/Alpine Botanic Garden, the world’s most northerly botanic garden. It’s nice to see auriculas growing so far north in open borders. Thank you Ylva, for sending in your very nice pictures. For more information on the garden see the following two links.          Wikipedia

An offset from 'Maggans' auricula 'Exhibition Mix'

When Maggan visited me at Hallagården in June she very kindly offered me to take an offset from one of her auriculas labelled 'Exhibition Mix'. I managed to remove a small offset which as you can see from the above picture is now well rooted and doing well; I look forward to seeing it bloom next year. The blooms are a nice deep red colour; the plant itself is also quite large with a good farina.

Auricula Postcard & Mug

My son and daughter-in-law sent me this very nice auricula mug from England, the coffee tastes so much better from a mug with the right decoration.

I've also just purchased this this postcard of wild auriculas.
