Ray's yellow self  FILLIPA

Selfs are Auriculas where the petals are evenly coloured in just one colour, they normally have a bright ring of paste in the centre and have farina on their leaves.

They are subdivided into various colours; yellow, red, blue, dark and others.
They are best grown in pots or given some form of shelter so that the ring of paste in the centre is not spoiled by the rain.

Selfs can look particularly stunning when in bloom, especially against a dark background.
